As a successful business leader with a passion for helping fellow CEOs, I leverage more than 30 years of diverse, world-class leadership experience to take you and your team to new heights. 

I began my career selling mainframe computers for IBM, a role that shaped my approach to business for years to come. I didn’t know much about computers when I took the job, but I jumped in, asked questions and learned everything I could about the industry. I use my thirst for knowledge with every new opportunity I encounter.

My next career move took me into the residential mortgage banking industry where I started as a loan officer when interest rates were at an all-time high of 16%. Not only did it not scare me away, but I quickly worked my way up the ranks. I became President/CEO of Shelter Mortgage just a few years after joining the company.

During the next 22 years leading Shelter Mortgage, we grew the company by 20% on average each year. The company scaled to over 500 employees across 35 states and became the premier mortgage partnership lender affiliated with top real estate companies. I gained an incredible amount of experience as I led the company through one of the country’s toughest economic periods and then successfully sold the company in 2013.

The following year, I left Shelter Mortgage to launch my business coaching practice, Jill Belconis Enterprises LLC. I now work as a Strategic Business Coach helping CEOs and their leadership teams of mid-market companies across multiple industries. With my vast leadership and hands-on CEO experience, I help CEOs grow, scale, and thrive in their businesses. I facilitate strategic planning meetings for leadership teams, driving accountability for executing on their plans, seeking alignment throughout the company, maximizing profitability, and building a culture of high-performing teams. I approach my clients in an authentic manner and ensure trust is at the core of our coaching relationship. I have earned the distinction of being a Scaling Up™ and Rockefeller Habits Certified Coach and am also a member of Patrick Lencioni’s organization, CAPAPro.

My purpose is very clear...it is to share my wisdom and experiences so others grow as leaders and realize their dreams.

I build relationships on trust and authenticity. I’m not afraid to ask the tough questions and uncover the “elephants in the room” in order to make a positive impact. My strength is getting results and driving value every time I connect with my clients.

I have been a member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) since 1997 and was the first female chair of the YPO Chicago Chapter. In 2011, I was honored as the first woman elected as the YPO International Chairman of the Board since its founding year in 1950. My TEDx talk (below) highlights my leadership journey. 

Outside of my business, I am dedicated to my family and living an active and healthy lifestyle. I attribute much of my personal and professional success to my passion for health and wellness. My belief is that it’s never too late to make a change, whether it’s for your business or in your personal life.
